🎙️Pantsuit Politics is a podcast where cohosts
and take a different approach to the news. We keep you informed without the overwhelm or anxiety. Listeners describe us as “America’s political therapists”, and the New York Times called Pantsuit Politics “compelling and thoughtful listening”.We publish new episodes of Pantsuit Politics on Tuesdays and Fridays for free for everyone, wherever you listen to podcasts.
📰 Staying current on the news should be a manageable daily practice, not a hobby or obsession. That’s why we created Good Morning and More to Say.
☀️ Every morning, Monday through Wednesday, Sarah recaps the day’s headlines on Good Morning. On Thursday, Good Morning becomes the Good News Brief, where Sarah shares positive trends in the world, from scientific breakthroughs to policy successes. These are not anecdotal stories of people being nice. This is actual good news that’s easy to miss.
📝 Every afternoon, Tuesday through Friday, Beth puts complicated stories in perspective on More to Say. From Supreme Court decisions to conflict zones, Beth answers your deeper questions about the headlines. (And when the news gets to be too much, More to Say becomes a creative outlet for everyone with Beth’s famous karaoke episodes.) The Thursday More to Say is our special spicy episode where Sarah joins Beth, and they have more free-wheeling - and NSFW! - conversations about the latest internet controversy or pop culture moment.
💃 We always end our podcast with what’s on our minds outside of politics. We bring that practice to Substack as well. By joining you’ll gain access to these daily shows and so much more. We host Spicy Lives where you can ask us anything. We live chat during debates. We read books together. We’ve hosted Succession watch-alongs and Survivor discussions. If we’re obsessed with it, we find a way to share it here!
🌶️ Pantsuit Politics is a listener-supported, independent podcast. No one tells us what to say, and there are no corporate investors to keep happy. We lovingly call our community the Spice Cabinet. They are the most vibrant, kind, curious people on the internet, and our comment threads are a place for civic conversation - not partisan conflict. The episodes we produce are worth every penny of the subscription but the real value lies in the comment threads interacting with this amazing community.
📕 Over nearly a decade of conversations tackling the most contentious issues in America, we’ve learned a lot about what makes political conversations less contentious and more rewarding. We describe those lessons in our books I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversation (2019) and Now What? How to Move Forward When We’re Divided (About Basically Everything) (2022).
🏫 We speak frequently to colleges and universities, corporations and non-profit organizations, and at conferences about harnessing the power of disagreement and strengthening relationships through healthy conflict. Email us at hello@pantsuitpoliticsshow.com if you are interested in having us speak to your organization.
